Book Review: The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa

Book Title:  The Immortal Rules
Author:  Julie Kagawa
Genre:  YA/Mystery/Paranormal

I enjoyed this book from the Young Adult Genre.  It has everything in it to make for a good story.  The characters are easy to visualize with Ms. Kagawa's descriptions.  The emotions are quite palpable, giving us what we need to feel attached to the main character as well as the characters the main character, Allison, interacts with.

I also like that the main character is very apt at describing herself, giving us the very clear fact she's of Asian decent.  This is only the second book I've read, EVER where the main character is Asian and isn't in the form of a comic book (or for those who are adamant about it, a "Graphic Novel".).

There is GREAT character interplay between good and evil and the cliffhanger was fantastic leaving the possibilities open for anything.
